best intentions

It's a lot easier to take the pictures each day than I thought...the hard part is getting them uploaded/resizes/edited and posted each day. So maybe I'll just try to add mine once a week? LOL

A couple days ago, Lindsey was having a really fussy day. She just needed some extra snuggles I guess. I tried to use a sling that was given to me but it was too bulky and just didn't fit well. So I found a pattern to make my own and that's what I did! It turned out really cute (I think) and it is so nice and easy to wear. And Lindsey loves it! :) The picture isn't great, but it shows what I made. :) The rest are just pics of my little monkey. That hair just cracks me up. It just does not lay down!

David and Lindsey both had checkups today. What in the world was I thinking scheduling both appointments for the same day. It was horrible. They both cried and screamed most of the appointment. I thought only Lindsey needed shots, but it turned out David needed one as well. Let me tell you what bundle of fun THAT was. We survived, but definitely need a nap. Both kids are growing well and are right on target. So thats good. :)

catch-up....again LOL

Pretty sad that I'm already playing catchup again on this photo challenge. :D Just never enough hours in a day it seems...but here's a bonus picture to make up for it. LOL

366 days of pictures

I have started a 366 day photo challenge (one picture for every day of the year). Yes, I'm late in posting them, but along with whatever ramblings I make, I thought it'd be fun to post the pictures here too! So here's pics 1-6 :0)

birthday boy

It's been 2 years already. TWO YEARS! And how fast these 2 years have flown by. When we first found out that I was pregnant, we were a little shocked. Really, we didn't have anything to be surprised about because we certainly weren't preventing anything. But surprised we were. We needed to get a bigger vehicle, but couldn't afford a car payment with just one income. Of course, Heavenly Father knows best and does provide. Rob was in a wreck that totaled his truck. It didn't seem like a blessing at the time. It turned out that Rob's former boss was getting rid of their minivan. They just didn't need it as they had other cars and their kids were all older now. So she said she would sell it to us. And the price was such a steal. It worked out that with the money that we received from Rob's truck, we could buy the minivan. It was a total answered prayer.
Shortly before David was born, my oldest sister Lammy and her family surprised us all and came to visit. We went to my parents' house Christmas Eve, and there they were! And how exciting it was to see them. They were moving to Kansas from Germany and had some leave time in between so they got to stay for around a month! And best of all, they would be here for David's arrival.
Wednesday morning early we headed to the hospital for a scheduled induction. We left the kids at home with their older cousins there to watch them.
David James was born at 2:36pm weighing 7lbs 15oz, and measuring 21 inches long. I'm so glad to have his sweet spirit as part of our family.
Happy Birthday little boy. I love you!
