And the final score is.....

Boys:2 Girls:3

IT'S A GIRL!!
I had the big u/s this morning and we got a couple clear shots letting us know that she is indeed a she! The girls are excited and the boys (well Robby) is getting used to the idea, although still not liking it. :)

It is so amazing to see the tiny little person inside of you moving around and wiggling right in front of your eyes (and even more weird that I couldn't really feel it, but she was really moving!).

I feel like the first part of this pregnancy was creeping by. And now suddenly I'm just about half way! Lets hope the second half goes quickly too. I don't look forward to the heat and humidity of August and September. I can't wait until October!!! :)

boy loves dog

David really loves having a dog. And Cocoa really is sweet and takes all the "loving" he dishes out.

I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later

Haley was getting ready for nap and I was cleaning up the lunch mess. When I went to check on her, I found this:

It wasn't until I looked again that I realized there were names attached to the artwork, and of course Haley can't write names yet (although she's good at spelling Haley and Robby). She had an accomplice. The funny part of it is, they "labeled" their rooms. To the left of the girls' doorway was "Alexis", to the left "Haley". And to the right of his door, "Robby." I'm sure had he known how to write David it would have been included.

So off to buy a Mr. Clean eraser and hope it helps.

P.S. I threw the crayons away....isn't that horrible?!

ick sticky cake

Here's some pictures of the birthday party. Unfortunately, she barely started opening presents when my camera battery died...and of course the backup was dead too *grumble*.
That cake had the stickiest frosting I think I've EVER had. :D But it was good (even a day later).

Three today!

My Haley bug turned 3 today. I'm still in a bit of denial. Has it really been three years? While age 2 did seem be a LONG year, I still feel like I've blinked and now she's gone from a baby girl to a toddler with some serious 'tude.

I asked her a couple days ago what she wanted for her Birthday dinner. Her reply was "cake". When I told her we couldn't have cake for dinner her next choice was "ice cream". Now that's my girl. We settled on grilling hamburgers and hotdogs instead, but she's still asked me about 20 times since naptime if she could have her cake yet. At least she's persistent!

I love you baby girl. Even when you cry and scream at the top of your lungs when we're shopping at walmart and everyone around us is staring. That is ture love, baby.

And here she is!

Things have not exactly started off easy with being pet owners. We went to pick her up from the vet last Thursday, and the told us she had a cough and they wanted to do a heartworm test. You guessed it, she was positive for heartworms. Rob and I both felt like she's a good dog and it would be sad to walk away from her for something that CAN be treated--it just costs money. So, onward with treatment we go. She spent the weekend getting the first part of the treatment. We got to bring her home finally yesterday! The kids absolutely love her, and she already fits in our family.
She goes back to the vet in a month for the second treatment. Until then she's supposed to be kept as calm and quiet as possible. Yesterday with getting used to her new home, she was little excited, but today has been pretty calm. We *heart* her already. :)
